SCITE seminar 2008

Reaction Paper

On the 21st day of August 2008, the Student Conference in Information Technology Education (SCITE) prepared a seminar for the BSIT and BSCS student held at the Paskuhan Village located at City of San Fernando Pampanga.

On this Seminar I was bored at first but, when the seminar started and the first speaker starts to tackle his topic about the courses in their school University of the Philippines and cite some topic about Information Technology I start to listen to learn on his speech. Then the second speaker come up on the stage after the first one, His topic is more about viruses, spyware, scam and malicious software. The speaker cited the methods on how to prevent these viruses on our computer; it is quite interesting to listen to this speaker because you will learn to prevent the attacks of viruses in your computer. Then the third speaker tackles about Game Development on how to create your own game, he cited some methods on how to create a game but I’m not very interested with this topic. Then the fourth speakers turn to deliver his topic, all of the participants are amaze with his topic Voices in Animation, this topic got my attention I am very interested with his topic I’ve learned a lot to the fourth speaker. Then the fifth speakers turn to deliver his topic about the new windows software. Then the last speakers turn to deliver her topic about Outsourcing and Offshoring. Then the seminar ends.

On this seminar I enjoyed a lot and learned a lot on Computer Technology. It was amazing to know that our technology today was so advance, all of the topics mentioned in the seminar are very interested and knowledgeble. This seminar furthers my knowledge about Information Technology, and in this seminar I realize that this course I am taking is a good choice of mine.
